Goodbye October! Hello November!

Oh no! Time is going too quickly! Here we are in NOVEMBER already. I can hardly believe it! We had a blast this week celebrating Halloween. Thanks for all the donations we received this week in gifts of time, pumpkins, snacks and support. I really appreciate that! We had a great time at outdoor school making our own nature base 10 sets. We used them yesterday to play a big mystery number game. The kiddos had a blast. Twigs and pinecones are way more fun than plastic sets when it comes to representing numbers. It was a great challenge as they had to create their own keys, make a number with their nature set greater than one thousand, write down the number they represented and put the paper in the 'vault' and then walk around and use their friends key to decode all of the other numbers. We finished the chapter book Matilda on Tuesday morning ... and call it genius timing or pure luck, we watched the movie on Tuesday during PJ day :). Overall, a week full of precious memories! Today we made a card to welcome Ryder. The students did such a beautiful job. What an incredible class community we have!

This week coming:

- We welcome a new student on Monday! We can't wait to meet Ryder!

- Tuesday is learning commons. Thanks for your help getting our books back to school.

- Wednesday is outdoor school! Please dress for the weather.

- Thursday is the Remembrance Day assembly at 10:30 am. It is also the last school day for students this week.

- Friday: NO SCHOOL!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Ms. M
