End of March!

Hello Parents!

It's been a while! I just wanted to give you a little photo drop and update on what to expect as we return to school this Tuesday and round the bend of the last part of our year together - oh my goodness! Can it really be April?!

You'll see lots of great learning and memories in the photos this week - including some photo booth fun from our celebration of learning night and our incredible experiences from India week! A huge thank you to the Patel's for joining us and sharing with us your stories, culture and food. What an incredibly rich experience.

As we head back to school we are looking for a few items to help with some student led passion projects. Here's our list:

- toilet paper/paper towel tubes

-small seed trays for starting plants

-any small plastic containers

-potting soil (preferably new so there aren't any fun sleeping critters emerging when it comes indoor in the heat - HA!)

The class "environment club" which at this point, is pretty much just our whole class, is looking to fundraise with a plant sale. They have raised a few dollars with their bookmark sales and I am hoping to pitch in to help make their dreams come true. Their goal is to raise enough money to do something great for the school and the environment. They have been talking about trying to raise enough for a greenhouse (so cute)! We will see where this goes, but in the mean time we have to get sprouting seeds!

As we come back we will be continuing to study Ukraine - we JUST started with Ukrainian Easter eggs and an author study before the break. We will also be wrapping up our Mars project on Friday the 12th! In P.E. we begin our gymnastics and 'outdoor fitness fun' unit! Can't wait! For outdoor school on the coming Wednesday we will be here in school grounds - fingers crossed we will be planting seeds for the plant sale!

On Tuesday don't forget to bring in any library books and any planting supplies you might have lying around! Also an orange letter will come home notifying you that we will be starting "Kids in the Know" a student safety program in the coming weeks. You will also receive the brain games QR code that was broken for the Brain Workshop! It is printed on bright yellow so hopefully you don't miss that one too!

Any questions, or comments? Please reach out!

Ms. M
